Arvind served as Chief Operating Officer of Clinigene, a subsidiary of Biocon Ltd. from 2000-2010 and was instrumental in planning, initiating and conducting clinical studies, clinical trials, biomarker identification studies, drug development, regulatory compliance both for in house as well as for domestic and multinational pharmaceuticals and biotech companies.

Prior to joining Clinigene, he served as Consultant Physician at West Wales General Hospital, Wales UK between 1996-2000. He served as Medical Director of Mallya Hospital, Bangalore between 1990-1996 and was involved from concept to completion and running of the state-of-the-art tertiary referral hospital. He trained in the UK and India in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology at St. Bartholomew Hospital and Broadgreen Hospital Liverpool, Victoria, St Martha’s and St John’s Medical College hospitals.

He is also a Senior Advisor to a number of multinational and domestic companies in the healthcare industry.

Dr. Arvind has authored several medical books and published articles in premier International medical journals such as Lancet, GUT and Gastroentology. He has also been a medical teacher and examiner both in India and the United Kingdom.

Dr. Arvind has obtained his MBA degree from the University of Birmingham. He completed his FRCP & MRCP from the Royal Colleges of Physicians, London & Glasgow, his MD from Bangalore Medical College and MBBS from St. John’s Medical College.
